chemiluminescence of luminol in presence of silver nanoparticles and blank

luminol is reacted with potassium ferricyanide in the presence of silver nanoparticles and the reaction is done simultaneously without the nanoparticles in distilled water. The silver nanoparticles catalyze and enhance the light production which leads to a brighter flash of light and then a quicker dimming. The luminol reaction gives off a characteristic blue light and the electron density on the surface of the silver nanoparticles catalyzes the reaction. The nanoparticles were synthesized just by mixing silver nitrate and sodium borohydride 1mM each will work and various sizes of nanoparticles can be made by varying the concentrations and drops. In order to last for a while distilled water is needed and high purity is ideal.
