Nanotechnology celebrates 25 years in an interview with the author of one of the most cited and downloaded papers: ‘The bactericidal effect of silver nanoparticles’. Published in 2005, it demonstrated that the effect of silver nanoparticles on Gram-negative bacteria was size dependant.
